Threshold was created with a singular goal in mind – to help asset managers and investment companies be better at the business part of their investment management business. Through years of hands-on experience, we have seen first-hand what happens when a portfolio manager with a great investment idea fails to bring it to life because of a mistake in the choice of vehicle or an unrealistic plan for distribution. Often times, little mistakes can have significant repercussions in a firm’s ultimate success.
Choice of product structure, choice of share class structure, pricing methodology, choice of distribution channels, choice of sales team structure, allocation of marketing resources, key account strategy, and formulation of message can all impact whether or not a great investment idea survives in what is an increasingly crowded market for investment products.
